FURY, Auran’s PvP bloodbath, is now running live throughout Europe, North America and Australia. There have been some enormous improvements since Beta, so Auran would like to invite gamers to play FURY absolutely FREE for the next 10 days to see what has changed!

Here is a short list of some of the major improvements since Beta:

Massive performance increases (many players are reporting double frame rates, especially in Low Spec renderer).

New game maps, with more to come next week New Bloodbath Training Ground with 4 bots and 3 other human players in a FFA (great for perfecting your skills before the challenge of taking on higher level opponents.

Changes to the Ranking system (Rank is now determined by your skill in battle not trials completed or time played).

Pre-made groups and pick-up groups are now separated in the Matchmaker queue.

Lower ranked players (i.e. new players and beginners) receive an Offense and Defense bonus (making it more likely for them to hit their target).

Major improvements to the Database which improve loading times and mail/vendor response times during peak periods Lots and lots of minor bug fixes, crash fixes and optimizations (with more still to come).

Fireglow Games, the makers of Sudden Strike and Stranger, released some little festive games as a Christmas and New Year present. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the email with the games until after Christmas Day, but we have posted the new year game, which you can download here.

Its a puzzle game, unusually for Fireglow, nicely festive, and hopefully some fun for you on this freezing New Years Eve.

If you’re going out tonight, have fun, stay safe, and if you drink, get a taxi OK, please?

Happy New Year, and all the best for 2007!

HandyGames.com are offering free mobile games for download.  You still have to pay the data rate from your phones operator, but the games themselves are full version, unlimited play ones.  There’s ads when you launch the game, but thats a small ‘price’ to pay for something that costs no money :)

If you want to remove the ads, you can of course pay to unlock the un-ad-supported versions of the games.
